Why does Firefox 7, when I click on a link, load the page multiple times? If I use my back button, there's 15 instances of that page open!

I surf. I click a link, I peruse, I click to go back to my previous page. It will not. When I click and hold on the "go back one page" button, there are anywhere from 5 to ten instances of that page open in the menu. Basically it now takes three or four steps to go back one page, instead of just one!

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
