FireFox not longer saves my passwords although I have it checked off. It used to work, but stopped on some sites, so I turned it off and then back on, but it doesn't ask if I would like to save any more passwords.

When I first downloaded FireFox, it saved all of my passwords with no problem(after asking me first). After a little while, out of nowhere, my passwords didn't come up when I entered my username on such sites like YouTube, and it won't ask for any recent sites I've joined. I decided to turn the saved passwords off for a little while, and then I turned it back on, but nothing has changed and now none of my old passwords are saved. It's not something I need, but it I would just have to type one letter for the username slot and then it would recommend names, but it doesn't. I hope this is not confusing for you.

Do you see the names and passwords in the password manager? Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"

Make sure that you not run Firefox in Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode. Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes). I am not in Private Browser Mode. The problem is selective in that about 1/2 of the sites I have saved passwords for work and 1/2 do not work.

Even within one site that has a password within the site for a second function the second password works but the site requires me to sign in every time.
