Greetings from North-East of France, since a few weeks ago I'm seeing a (sort of) pop-up window suggesting to login with a Google account (see the screenshot attached). I've done some internet search to find out how to get rid of it, but the only suggestion I get is to modify an option in a Google account. However, I do not have a Google account! How to get rid of this disturbing pop-up? I already use Adblock Plus and uBlock Origin, yet Google passes through them! Thank you in advance for any help you may provide.

No idea why my answer isn't showing up. Anyways...

Yes, there is a solution for your issue. The add-on "Privacy Badger" from the Electronic Frontier Foundation blocks this kind of pop-up.

That's coming from whatever site your going to - that is asking for the sign to use google or other logins. It has nothing to do with Firefox.

The question remains unanswered. How to get rid of the pop-up? I started seeing it only recently. How to block it?

If you open the Storage Manager -- press Shift+F9 -- on that page, does Firefox list any cookies detected for Google, in addition to the cookies detected for the site? I think you only get that suggestion if the script in the page detects Google account cookies. ??

That seems indeed the case. See the attached screenshot. I'm going to add google account in the list of cookies to be systematically rejected. I hope it helps...

Not a browser issue, everyone should be seeing this option. Sites are offering the option. see screenshots

I do understand that it is not a browser issue. My question is whether there is any way to get rid of this annoying pop-up. Extensions like Adblock Plus and uBlock origjn are unable to stop it.

Hi Massimo,

yes, there is a way to block this pop-up. You only need to install the add-on "Privacy Badger" from EFF.

I use it myself since years and it never let me down. :)
