Just to let you know. the last few months firefox is not working very well with certain sites. It freezes and gets kicked off for to many cookies. I use firefox as primary browser. work from home. i have been forced to switch to chrome or edge at times in the middle of business. not sure why it is happening or what to do about it. But figured should let you know.

What did you mean by 'too many cookies?'

Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What is/are the exact error message(s) ?

Is this with all websites/pages, some, a few?

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to. You may also lose any settings for that website.

If there is still a problem,

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

While you are in Troubleshoot(Safe) mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

Hmm, I've never heard of "too many cookies." (That was my inner Cookie Monster speaking.)

When this happens, have you tried clearing the site's cookies to see how long it works before the problem returns? Here's how:

If possible, first save any work in progress.

While viewing a page on the site, click the lock icon at the left end of the address bar. After a moment, a "Clear Cookies and Site Data" button should appear at the bottom. Go ahead and click that.

In the dialog that opens, you will see one or more matches to the current address so you can remove the site's cookies individually without affecting other sites.

Then try reloading the page and logging in again. Does it work and, if so, for how long?
