Your [[Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data|Firefox profile]] stores all of your personal data. Specifically, the <code>places.sqlite</code> file is responsible for saving your bookmarks and history. If you want to specifically backup your bookmarks, you also have a couple of other options.
