Per the reviews, it works with TB60 - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/gcontactsync/ The compatibility preference that needs changing is mentioned there, and also in the release notes https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/60.0beta/releasenotes/
