need someone to remotely fix some problems. been user for years but not savy enough to correct problems. i think i know what needs doing but don't know how.

I need to get someone to remotely correct my fixes. long-time user and supporter. i am older and can't understand all instructions.

Have used the fox for years since XP days. About year and half ago old computer died and I got an HP laptop and had it loaded.

I don't have or want facebook,twitter etc. Don't use to play games.

Firefox was working perfectly for a few months and then something happened and had to get someone to reload. the person who fixed it loaded stuff like AVG which gives blocking messages all the time and sometime it takes 5-20 minutes to get them all cleared before i can log on.

Before all problems seems all i ever had was priform and was never hacked that i know of.

I am having some sites say "script not working and ask to stop continue or debug"; also some audio will stop and layout is not the same on home page as when i got <help>

Now i have windows 10 and don't know what to do. I want my old firefox back. I use or want chrome,google etc.

Would pay to have someone who knows how to get my firefox back'

Hi, I wouldn't recommend letting anyone have remote access to your PC unless you are certain that they are legit. Mozilla Support doesn't do that anyway.

If you don't want AVG, you can just uninstall it. In Win10, Windows Defender should automatically take over, and unlike in earlier Windows versions, it now is a full (free) anti-virus program. It's possible that AVG is causing all your issues.

Is this the script message you are seeing - maybe something here will help - Warning Unresponsive script - What it means and how to fix it

You say the 'layout' of the home page is different; it would help if you can be more specific. I'm wondering if your 'help' technician installed some junk which has changed the home page. It might help us if you could provide us with a screenshot. If you need help to create a screenshot, please see How do I create a screenshot of my problem?
