Using WINDOWS10 on a single desktop, how do I "SYNC" to get my Verizon hosted email to link to Firefox (MAIL) icon?
I have Windows 10 and am trying to get my email on Verizon linked to Firefox. First, if I have no other devices to "Sync", so, do I have to use the Firefox SYNC protocol? If so, how is this accomplished. I filled out everything it asked for, and when I send a test email to myself, all I get is a 'hang' on "not yet sync'ed"(sic). Would someone please help?

Hi Fes4all, Firefox Sync is a way to share data between different installations of Firefox: on computers and/or mobile devices. If you have no interest in doing that, you can skip creating a Firefox account until you have more need for it.
More info: Access Mozilla Services with a Firefox Account
Now... I'm a little confused where you said you sent a test email to yourself and want to connect to a mail icon.
Firefox doesn't directly handle email. It can display a website where you read your email. Is there a problem using that site (maybe https://webmail.verizon.com/)? This is not related to Firefox Sync.
Firefox does have an envelope icon, but it's not for retrieving mail, it's for sending a link to the page you're viewing. (Unless there's a new icon I don't know about...) So that probably isn't what you want.
If you prefer to read your email in a dedicated email program, that's understandable, but that would not be Firefox. You could take a look at Thunderbird as an option: https://www.mozilla.org/thunderbird/
Does any of that help?
