An absolutely necessary add-on was disabled when I updated from 47 to 48. I NEED IT BACK. How do I rollback to 47?

The 48 update killed an absolutely necessary add-on. I need to go back to 47, or I'll have to ditch Firefox and go to Chrome...which I really don't want to do.

Consider switching to the Extended Support Release (ESR) version of Firefox 45. That will defer the signature requirement for at least six months.

I suggest making a backup first: Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles

Then you can download an ESR installer here: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/all/

The regular Windows version has the widest compatbility with plugins; the 64-bit Windows version only allows Flash and Silverlight.
