I just started using Lightning with Thunderbird. Looks great. I installed the Provider for Google Calendar addon but my Google Calendar Reminders failed to import.

I entered them all again manually as tasks but I've installed Lightning on a second laptop and I don't fancy doing it again. Even on the pc where I entered them manually I can't seem to find a way to export them.

Would be grateful for some help. I must be missing something obvious I feel. Thank you.

Typing the problem out must have helped as I figured it out. I had to export the "Home" calendar to get the tasks on the other laptop.

Still haven't a clue how to get the reminders in Google Calendar to appear in Lightning though.

you need to add a new calendar on the network. Ignore the provider and use caldav.

in the location place https://apidata.googleusercontent.com/caldav/v2/your-email-address/events

and substitute you email address where indicated.

The email address is used as a calendar ID for your "first" google calendar. If you have more that one you need to go to the google web site, open you calendar details and beside the calendar address your calendar ID is shown. (beside a bright green ICAL icon and a blue HTML one.)
