I am not getting a PROMPT TO SAVE a login for a site that I had saved but deleted some time ago

I even created a NEW account at the site but received NO PROMPT TO SAVE

The website is: https://steelranch.residentportal.com/resident_portal/?module=authentication

There are some login forms that Firefox doesn't recognize as login forms. I'm not sure why that occurs.

But first, let's make sure you haven't blocked the site from saving your login. To do that:

Type or paste about:permissions in the address bar and press Enter to load the page.

The left column will start filling with a list of sites. In the search box above the list type steel to quickly filter to the site. Assuming it comes up, click the site, then on the right side, you can check and if necessary change the "Store Passwords" permission.

If you changed it, try logging into the site again to see whether Firefox prompts you this time. If it was already set to Allow, hmm, must be a different issue.

Firefox won't offer to store password when you are in Private Browsing mode.

Firefox 42+ has a Tracking Protection feature that is enabled by default in Private Browsing mode. When you are in private browsing mode then Firefox can show a shield icon at the left end of the location/address bar that some content is affected.

You can disable this feature in "Options/Preferences > Privacy" or via the about:privatebrowsing page that get when you open a New Private Window.
