I was away from home for 5 days and Mozilla was stripped from pc.

Posted

The only thing I have left of Mozilla is the icon on my desktop. When I finally opened my email, everything was changed -- from appearance and priorities all the way to the taskbar, which was GONE. I'm not a computer expert, but this is weird. Any idea what might have happened or who might have sabotaged me?

Do you use a password on your computer? Does anyone else use it?

Programs do not disappear on their own, unless they are programmed to do so. Installers, for example.

You may have ad / mal-ware. Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
