They both use the same profile and plugins. Firefox starts to load but then stops at around the 27.8Mb mark (according to Process Hacker). It _sometimes_ loads normally, and the same happens when loaded in safe mode. I'd rather not use the refresh option as this will drop everything from Waterfox too (as far as I can tell). Is there any log files I can look at to find out why it hangs at the same point a lot of the time, but not other times? I've used both the most recent version of Firefox, and have also updated to the Beta branch (Firefox Setup 36.0b10), but there was an internal Firefox update after installing this and I'm not sure what version it is now.

(I do not actually use Waterfox myself, I do have various Firefox installs and also palemoon, Comodo and usually IceWeasel ) Firefox has a built in profiler that may help you.

Waterfox is not supported by this forum.

Try using Firefox with it's own profile. It is not intended to share profiles. Waterfox is possibly based on a different version to the Firefox Release and of course a 64 bit version.

On the subject of 64 bit Windows Firefox that is hopefully getting close. I think limited rollout is expected pretty soon this year

IIRC there was mention of possibly as soon as Fx37

Is this with one web site? Several, many?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift (Mac Options) > key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

It isn't with a site, it's with the program itself. And happens both in safe mode and normal.

Hi Salith,

I am not asking if you have a problem with this site. I am just letting you know that we on this site do not offer support for users of Palemoon.

As for the Mozilla Firefox problem please try creating a new profile and try Mozilla Firefox running from that new clean profile.

Profiles should not be shared. Instead use Firefox sync or otherwise use some method of transfering only some files between profiles. Possibly consider writing a .bat file or using some utility or addon such as

Download Firefox Full Installer For All languages And Systems {web link} Save the file. Then;

Using your file browser, open the Programs folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

Look for, and rename any Mozilla and Firefox folders by adding .old to them.

Now run the full installer. If all goes well, remove the OLD folders when you are done.

Note the profile manager will load early, and may well work even if Firefox itself does not load and run. With. a new profile Firefox may run.

Even a clean install may have problems if bad or un-suitable profiles exist because Firefox tries to use existing profiles where available.

You talk about not wishing to lose information from Waterfox, but the two installs each need separate profiles you will at some point have problems if you try to run differing versions of Firefox from a single common profile
