Why can not I sign a document with electronic sign?

I entered in trusted web site with online secure certificate, where I filled out a documents, but when I attempted to sign them with my electronic sign, came a message that my browser did not support signing with electronic sign. What should I do? I ask for your help as this is very important to me. Thanks in advance!
