Hey guys,

I've got an foscam security cam and i'm trying to install it with fire fox. But the plugin is an .exe file instead of an .dmg file. And because i've an apple computer that's not working very well... actually not working at all.

Before you ask, yes I've tried: chrome, safari and opera. I really need it to work on firefox. I hope you guys can help me,

Thanks a lot in advance!

yours, Doron

Does the company support apple computers? This isn't the browser's fault, Firefox won't change the file extension from exe to dmg or anything else, but if the company doesn't support mac they won't have a dmg. Try contacting them.

Since I don't own the product, no I don't know how to contact them. I'm guessing that's something you will be in a better position to figure out.

I thought you ment firefox with 'the company'.

Yes foscam support apple's and because safari and chrome does have apple .dmg files for foscam. And Firefox only gave .exe files I think it's on the browser firefox. so... do you know how i can contact firefox? thanks!

This is Firefox's support site.

If the website for the program isn't showing .dmg files, then you'll need to contact them, this isn't something Firefox has any real control over.

Does the company has support via a Java applet to control the camera?

If they only offer an ActiveX control for Microsoft Internet Explorer then you are out of luck on other platforms like Mac and Linux.

doronmerk, the Firefox is the name of the web browser (third one as it was Phoenix and Firebird long ago) and not a company or such as that would be Mozilla. Tyler was saying to contact Foscam, the company that supplies the plugins, firmwares and such for the camera for assistance.

You can use the links that Ed provided above.
