Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

Thank you both! I really appreciate finding your help! I did solve this problem by uninstalling FF and reinstalling an earlier version.
