Hello, My problem is this: Whenever I try to sign in to my Firefox account, it asks me to enter a security code from "your authentication app" in order to finish signing in.

I don't know what app this is referring to. I checked Google authenticator and Microsoft authenticator apps and neither of them have Firefox on them. These are the only two authenticator apps I've ever used. Is there a special Mozilla authentication app that I'm supposed to be aware of?

In order to successfully log in, 3 times I had to use a recovery code from the list of codes on a pdf I was initially given. I don't want to eventually get locked out of my account.

Thank you for any help.

My electronic certificates have disappeared from the firefox container: A few days ago my electronic certificates have disappeared from the firefox container The certificate provider has vetoed me from delivering a new certificate, because it is the second time Firefox has lost a certificate in 2020. The certificates I need for any management before the administration of Spain and more now with the COVID After it is granted, you have to verify your identity with the Tax Agency, and they have already called my attention for renewing the same year a certificate that firefox loses when it is updated. I'm very, very pissed off I will have to switch to Chrome

Since a few days I noticed on two different windows 10 PCs that firefox keeps signin out of websites (yahoo, linkedin etc), and this happens semi-randomly but sometimes more than once per day. My security settings never changed, I did configure firefox to delete history when closing, but preserving cookies and active logins. I also tried to add those websites to trusted sites (in the tracking menu, the shield to the left of the url). Any advice?

The Firefox desktop browser is the only one that give me this error Error code: SEC_ERROR_REVOKED_CERTIFICATE I am on a MAC OS using latest version of Mozilla Firefox desktop browser: 82.0.1 (64-bit) Incognito mode, cleared everything, reinstalled the browser and still got the same error. Talked with GoDaddy support and they told me everything is ok on their side. What is going on? Why: Safari, Chrome, Opera, Firefox Mobile (iOS) and so on have no problem loading my pages, but Firefox desktop has?

I looked on my GoDaddy hosting cPanel and the SSL are correctly generated and valid, so I don't understand what is going on with this browser.

Thank you! PS - If this is already answered, please point me to the correct reply.

Hi Folks, Ever since the recent upgrade to FF 82.0.1 [and still with 82.0.2], I can no longer log-in or watch videos on TCM. https://www.tcm.com/watchtcm.

This site has been allowed in my about:preferences#privacy for many months.

In the first screenshot, you can see [top right] that SIGN IN box is disabled.

I have also attached a screenshot of the Permissions settings for this site.

Anyone have any ideas?

I was using an unprotected wifi for about 3 days and now I have unknown programs running and sometimes commond prompt boxes suddenly poping up and dissapearing. I'm nolonger using the computer and I'm changing all my passwords just in case. (not getting FF to remember them)

But there are unknown usernames and passwords in my synced passwords. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/930340 Does this mean the hacker has all my FF passwords and can access it anywhere and anytime if I change them is sync? Should I make a new Sync account?

I'm looking for non-social Firefox edition or version. I want to follow the latest FF updates, but without any integrated services like social spyware and any other kind of malware. Options disable / enable are not sufficient to be safe and security in Firefox is corrupted by social API.

Social services and features must be implemented only as a simple optional extensions and nothing more.

When I try to access this US military site, https://www.tricareonline.com/portal/page/portal/TricareOnline/Portal I get a warning that this site can't be trusted. I then get a notice to override Firefox if I trust the site. I get a certificate, override, and finally get the site. But this has happened a half dozen or so times, every time I try to log in to the military site. How can I log into this site without the annoying warnings?

Thanks, Donald Sullivan

A newspaper website asked if I wanted to tell them my location. Firfox popped up and asked if I wanted to automatically tell sites that ask my geographic location. I clicked and got more information. There was a section that gave instructions to permanently disable geographic location tracking. I followed the directions to disable, even though the default is no tracking. I had to type an two words with a : separating them into the address bar. This brought me to a long list of settings. I followed the directions but now it seems my location is being tracked by everyone.

How do I get back to this list of settings (which was not accessed through Options) to go back to the default?

Hi,

I'm using firefox for several years, but recently i discovered a weird effect on one of my computers, which was consistent across many FF versions (up to the recent version 17 now). All drop down menus on facebook were not working for me. On one pc I can click on the red globe, and a menu opens - while on the other pc nothing happened. Now I was able to reproduce it.

As soon as I activate the "ask how long cookies are stored" option in the privacy settings, the drop down menus wont work/show. Choosing the default "Keep them as long as they are valid" reenables the drop down menus.

I really like the cookie storage time option so i can decide which website will remember me.

I am no doubt asking in the wrong place, but...I have Apache2 running on a linux locally. I believe I have set it up to support server-side includes. I have a cgi-bin perl script, hell.pl:

#!/usr/bin/perl

print "Content-type: text/html\n\n";
print "Hello, world\n";
exit;

Under Firefox, I can generate the Hello World page through the url

xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/cgi-bin/hell.pl

where xxx.xxx... is the apache2 server address.

But if I try to do that via the html file:

<HTML>
<HEAD></HEAD>
Test:<BR>
<BODY>
<!--#include virtual=/cgi-bin/hell.pl" -->
</BODY></HTML>

All I get is page which is blank except for the "Test:" on line 1. The apache error and access logs show no relevant problems, as if the browser treats the serverside include as a comment.

I realize that the fault no doubt lies with the apache2 configuration, but I have studied and studied... and am now clutching at straws.
