Sync just does NOT work. I installed FF on my Mac brand new and fresh... brand new machine. Signed into Sync. NOTHING. After 6-7 HOURS... nothing. It just gets NOTHING AT ALL from my Windows Desktop.

I've signed out of ALL Firefox/Mozilla sync sessions... signed in clean- all browsers are up to date. And the about:sync-log page shows a LONG streak of errors... NON STOP ERRORS.

Why?! Why can't we just sync extensions to install and bookmarks across machines? How is this that hard for Mozilla?!

Day after day and attempt after attempt of failures for a basic function of the browser.

Here is the text of the latest log and showing constant connection errors- mind you NOTHING is breaking on my internet as I'm often streaming things and watching stuff while surfing, or others in the house are. Our connection, and Firefox getting online, are all working fine. I am at a loss. I don't understand how this is so terribly broken out of the box that you can't just sign in and let it talk to their servers. I know Google has billions behind Chrome, but this shouldn't be so 1990's bad by comparison to Chrome sync.

I use Thunderbird on Windows 10; I have a verizon.net email account which I access through Thunderbird. Verizon.net email is transferred to the server from AOL Mail, and I have been able to get and send my emails on Thunderbird at verizon.net for years. This week, after Thunderbird's latest update, I have not received any incoming mail on Thunderbird, but I can see my emails on AOL Mail. The technical expert I consulted deduced that the problem is with Thunderbird such that AOL is not connecting to the incoming mail server, even after the password was changed. I can send messages successfully from Thunderbird; the outgoing mail works.

I've added https://x.com as an exception site but it is still blocked.

This is outright censorship which is something [edited] do.

Tell me how to fix your browser so I may access x.com again or I stop using Firefox forever.

Version 115.4.3 seems to have eliminated the Mail Toolbar altogether. The “Unified Toolbar” support page at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/unified-toolbar refers to a “Tabs Bar” which is not part of the standard Thunderbird vocabulary (there is a “Tab Strip” at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-customize-toolbars#w_how-do-i-sh.... If you keep changing the toolbars and the vocabulary, you are going to confuse everyone, including yourselves. Now the user cannot customize the Menu Bar (or the Unified Toolbar), so the main buttons on the Mail Toolbar (Get Messages, Write, Chat, Tag, QuickFilter, Address Book etc.) are just not there. There is also no visible way to display the Mail Toolbar. It seems that in their desperate indecision as to whether the Menu Bar or the Mail Toolbar should be on top, the developers of Thunderbird decided to eliminate the Mail Toolbar altogether. What an unfortunate decision. Give us back our Mail Toolbar!'

Majority of the songs do not play and I'm given with a pop-up, "Spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it."

I will play a song from a playlist and is given that pop-up, it will continue skipping to the next song until it plays, but only for 9-10 seconds until the song mutes, to specify, the dot (when hovered on the progress bar) will still move, indicating that "it's playing".

Some clarifications: 1. I use Spotify Desktop app (windows), Spotify App (android), and Spotify Webplayer on Chrome and Firefox. Everything works just as fine on all of these, except for Spotify Webplayer on Firefox. 2. Skipping to a later timestamp does not unmute the song. 2. I have Spotify Premium 3. I have no VPN 4. I am running Firefox with an ad blocker 5. I am running Chrome with an ad blocker (same ad blocker in Fifefox) 6. I am running Firefox to the latest version (Firefox 119.0.1 (20231106151204))

What I've done so far: 1. Cleared caches and data. 2. Updated my Windows to the latest update available - Win10 v.22H2 3. Signed-out of Spotify for all my devices, then logging-in first on Spotify Desktop (this automatically redirects to Firefox webplayer) 4. Ran Firefox on "Troubleshoot Mode" 5. Un-checked and re-checked "Play DRM content" setting. 6. Disabled and re-enabled the plug-in "Widevine Content Decryption Module by Google Inc". When I launch Firefox (version 115.0.1), it establishes and maintains multiple connections to '*.googleusercontent.com' until I close Firefox. This is bull shit is totally unacceptable. I have been using Firefox since version 1.0.6 but I will dump Firefox for another web browser if this problem cannot be fixed.

How do I stop these connections being made?

How come FF translates sites in tiny, irrelevant languages like Bulgarian, but not from major languages like Chinese and Arabic?!?

I wish I could dump Edge, but this FF deficit forces me to keep Edge on my computer...

I have used Thunderbird for years without issue. In the last 2 days, it keeps crashing on one of my laptops (fine on the other). I sent a crash report, but I can't reopen Thunderbird. I tried both quitting and restarting. I shut down my computer and restarted it. I tried updating by downloading the latest version, but that didn't work either. I completely uninstalled it, reinstalled it, and it worked for a few hours. Now, it is back to the Crash Report.

Any suggestions? I love TB and don't want to switch to something else.

July 2024 - Thunderbird is demanding that I change my Hotmail password, after long trouble -free operation. It will not login. Why? (I have not changed the PW yet, hoping for a solution that will avoid the necessity.) I fear that it may be due to some fault in OAuth. Can anyone please provide any help to overcome this problem? Why is it that I am not able to search for this email when using an exact phrase that is in the email body? The normal searching works, but I don't use that because the threaded mode is bugged and it seems like another "wontfix" issue. Why is it that mozilla software is so buggy and the bugzilla mods would rather just lock your posts than address these issues?

Hyperlinked text does not paste into Thunderbird email. Only the text pastes in. The hyperlinks do not. If I paste in text that has several hyperlinks already embedded, only the text pastes in. The hyperlinks are lost. I must paste the hyperlinked text with the URLs. How do I do this? All searches are irrelevant. I know how to insert URL into new text but that is not the issue. My text to be pasted already has many hyperlinks in the text and I do not want to laboriousness do them all again. When I paste in a paragraph of text that already has several hyperlinks I want that ALL to paste in. How to I do this?

After the latest update (117.0 64-bit) I now do not see the '+' sign in the tab bar. I have 40 tabs open (please, no negativity - it's always worked for me), but if I close all of the tabs it reappears. Re-open the original 42 tabs and it's gone again. Close them and it reappears, etc. Now for the fun bit: starting from scratch with a new window - the '+' is there, but open 20 more tabs and it goes.

I'm asking this question on a different browser because Firefox cant load any websites.

Basically whenever i open a new tab, it opens to a crashed tab. Gah. It cant even load google, or any website for that matter, not even the homepage for Firefox, its just a blank page with nothing on it, whenever i type something into the address bar and press enter it just disappears and does nothing. Browser settings work, but stuff like passwords dont, and i have most of my important passwords on firefox, so i cant log into runescape and stuff.

Can you help?
