Where can I find the phone number & password from Firefox, as an ISP, for the setup manager to connect to the internet using a dial-up phone line?
I used my cable connection to download Firefox on my sister's PC, this one. She has dial-up access only, and needed an ISP. Now we need a phone number & password, for the setup manager, from Firefox so she can use the internet. No matter how I word it, none of the internet searches I have tried will give me this info. I downloaded an older version of Firefox last, hoping it would give us an access phone number for Firefox as the ISP, but no luck. We are seniors, and need all the help we can get with this stuff please! I tried using the 'trouble shooting information' button below, but it said this version of Firefox was too old. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b1) Gecko/20081007 Firefox/3.1b1, copied from the help button above. We will tr anything! And under: 'We've made some educated guesses about your current browser and operating system. Show details »', nothing happens when I click on 'Show Details'. And when I tried to 'Open Help > Troubleshooting Information'. , there was no item called Troubleshooting Information listed.

ISP means Internet Service Provider. It's a company you pay to provide you with access to the Internet. They're the ones that supply you with connection details like the phone number for the dial-up connection, and the username and password.
Firefox is a web browser. That's a computer program that uses your Internet connection to display web sites. Web browsers don't provide you with an Internet connection; they use your existing one.
Firefox 3.1 is an absolutely ancient version. It's full of security vulnerabilities and you shouldn't use it under any circumstances. Download the latest version.
