Company websites which use the TALEO job search/apply app/site, no longer work right in 19, they worked fine in 18.xx. Specially, the job search function does not work right when entering the TALEO job search parameters then hitting SEARCH FOR JOB does nothing. AN example site (which does not require registration) is https://nielsen.taleo.net/careersection/3/jobsearch.ftl?lang=en. If I make selections for JOB FIELD and/or LOCATIOn then hit SEARCH FOR JOB, nothing happends. Sites using TALEO worked fine in the last offical 18.x release. TALEO worksd fine in IE 7&Chrome 25.

Clearing the cache does not change behavior. Finally did a full FF reset--no change.

It's not you. The site uses a hidden iframe to process the search and Firefox halts the search on a script error accessing that iframe in some manner. I think someone will need to update the script.

(For future reference, you can view Firefox's Error Console by pressing Ctrl+Shift+j and then using the Errors button to filter the list so the "noise" of style warnings is hidden.)

If you mean the scipt on that site in TALEO, EVERY company site that uses TALEO has the same problem now, not just that one example site. FF18 worked with those and FF19 doesn't so it seems the issue is is FF19?

Something changed in Firefox 19, but the script is too complex for me to debug.

From what I can see, the script uses various methods to get a reference to the hidden iframe (frames['EmptyFrame']), at least one of which should work, but apparently none of them work in Firefox 19, or the access is blocked in Firefox 19.

None of the changes listed here sounds especially relevant:

Someone should file a bug for this. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/

I have the same problem. I hope they will work on this issue.

I am running Firefox version 19.0.2 and I have the same problem. I am able to filter using Internet Explorer which I really don't like. Rather than users having to figure out why this isn't working either Taleo needs to fix their scripts or a fix needs to happen in Firefox.

Based on these two bug reports, it appears that Taleo and some other sites rely on a previous nonstandard behavior in Firefox. Now that Firefox uses a more standard behavior, their scripts fail because they also rely on a nonstandard behavior in Webkit-based browsers. The Firefox developers are not yet convinced to switch back to the nonstandard behavior, that is, they think the sites should update their scripts:

Are there any fixes for this?

I don't see any updates from the developers on the TALEO bug, or any other threads here with new news. I wonder whether Oracle has posted any guidance on it? (I haven't searched.)

I have this problem today, 5/14/2013, with FireFox 20.0.

Safari also gets the same error at the same place.

Yahoo says only Internet Explorer is good enough to apply for a job. Not FireFox, Safari or Chrome.

Also, try to start with the link they give in this message in order to test with the whole environment.

Having same problem on Taleo job search site. Worked fine last weekend. Today's date 07/14/2013. Thought it was me doing something wrong, until I clicked on another site that also uses taleo. Switched over to "Opera" browser for now.
