A security and stability update for Firefox is available

Firefox 12.0

It is strongly recommended that you apply this update for Firefox as soon as possible.

Click on the update Firefox toggle and another box appears:

Incompatible Add-ons Found

Some of your add-ons won’t work with the update, and must be disabled. As soon as they are made compatible, Firefox will update and re=enable these add-ons:

AVG LinkScanner 9.0.865

Hi scarabrae,
I do not have a specific answer as to whether AVG linkscanner will work with up-to-date versions of Firefox.

It does appear to have been a problem in the past, that this and other security applications additional features are not always updated in time, to run when Firefox releases are newly made. You may find there is now a compatible version available.

You may also find that the feature does not add much to Firefox, as Firefox already offers some protection against anti-phishing and fake sites

I am sure you will find answers on the AVG support forum.

Once you update to Firefox 12 you will find a further update is required,as we are now on Firefox 13. It is recommended you update as support for firefox 3.6 and 12 has ceased, and they are now not secure. See also
