I need the FireFox Setup 11.exe to go back to version 11. This is only temporary until I can figure out some problems with plugins but cannot do this on my main laptop (will debug elsewhere).

I cannot find this setup on a trusted other site, I didn't download the previous version outside the "auto update" and so don't have the installer since it was so long ago (no longer in tempfiles/recycle or wherever else windows tucks it after I use it). I'd prefer to download from mozilla directly, please direct me to it?

<whine> Why can't this be easy. :( </whine>

Install an older version of Firefox has instructions and warnings. Firefox 12 contains security fixes not in Firefox 11.

Firefox 12 is SO buggy (saying all certificate issuers are untrusted and not loading any CSS on hundreds of normal websites etc.) so I need a copy of FF11 too cos FF12 is unusable

Mozilla should roll back to 11 until they get the badly broken v112 sorted out - I am having to hunt all over the web to find a copy of FF11 when we should be able to get one here

glad I am reading these forums, now I know why do not update right away when things come out......thanks for everyone's input

Could we please not turn this thread into a "If you have any issue with Firefox 12 post here" thread. If you need help dealing with a change, ask in a new thread. You're effectively hijacking a thread someone else started. That's not fair to ala98014, who started this thread.

If you need help and are not the person who started this thread, please use https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new where volunteers can get more details about your setup.

Well, I found a link. I don't know if this will be edited out/removed by moderators because of the high desire that people not do this and of course I agree with their concerns, namly the "leaves you open for security problems" commentary. As a deterrent I will post their page explicitly warning against doing this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Installing%20a%20previous%20version%20of%20Firefox?s=firefox+11+download&r=8&e=es&as=s

However, sometimes gotta do what you gotta do. I'm behind a nice thick firewall while I do this so I feel slightly better about it.

This is for Windows but you can similarly download the other os flavors by editing the URL. http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-11.0&os=win&lang=en-US

Thank you so much for posting this link to V11! I was having so many problems with my plug-ins. I wish they would just fix the security issues without causing compatibility issues. well, that's my rant  :-)

Thanks again!

Nah, it won't be removed. :) It's links to third-party download sites (aka. not Mozilla) that are not allowed.
