Pages with Java crash subsequent pages
With Mac Firefox 8.0 using a certain extension (that I have used for years), if I open a page that uses Java and then open another page right afterward, that causes Firefox to crash. If I open another tab and close the one running Java, another page will load with no problem. This is a very recent thing. I do not think it was happening before the last Apple Java update. The extension in question is Kill Bright Backgrounds. It dims the background colour of a page if it is too bright. Why would this happen?

Firefox 8.0.1 seems to have solved the problem.

Thanks, but the situation being described in that page is not quite the same. Closing a page using Java does not cause a crash. It is loading another page without first closing the page using Java that causes the crash.
