When will Firefox be fully compatible with Lion, i.e. full-screen mode. Clicking on the double-sided arrow up in the menu bar?
No need for more detail. Everyone knows how Lion has implemented this feature. When will Firefox follow suit?

Yes it does, but not quite the same thing.
command+Shift+F is specific to Firefox and not universal.
Software that is fully Lion compliant would enable the full-screen view.

Does Firefox 6 have Mac OS Lion compliant Full screen support? Opera and Chrome have implemented Full screen support for Mac OS X Lion in their development builds.
Command-shift-F does continue working as in prior versions of Mac OSX. However, because it does not use the OSX Lion fullscreen API, FireFox's fullscreen mode causes the application to use an entire Space. If FireFox did use the fullscreen API, OSX Lion would dynamically generate a Space for it in Mission Control, and the user would still have all of their configured Spaces for windowed applications.

Although Command+Sift+f does make it full screen it does so on the primary desktop. It does not move to its own desktop. So although it is full screen you loose access to any of the non-full screen apps. This is the primary reason for implementing this API. Not that it looks good. It is the fact that without the implementation there is a decrease in functionality and a diminished user experience.
Use Maximizer by chpwn. Perfect solution for now.
I simply move firefox to its own desktop and then use CMD + Shift + F to throw it into full screen mode from within it's own dedicated space.
It's not perfect but it's sufficient until the fox crew introduce a proper lion full screen mode.
