history only showing todays entries. loosing previous days.
When I click on history, only todays history is displaying. I tried to find out how to include previous days by searching through your help areas but could not find anything.

Maybe you were previously using private browsing or similar options to not save History, if not something may have gone wrong.
Note bookmarks and history are stored in the same file in Firefox,
- are you able to make and save bookmarks ok ?
(Bookmarks are saved in private browsing, but other faults may prevent them from being saved) - when did this problem start ?
- did you previously have history available ?
It is possible to restore bookmarks, that will include restore of history, BUT it will overwrite whatever you have at present, if you do consider that option make sure you back up your current bookmarks manually, something that you should consider doing periodically as a matter of routine (unless you have automated routines that achieve the same result).

Make sure that you do not use "Clear Recent History" to clear the "Browsing History" when Firefox is closed.
If you use cleanup software like CCleaner then check the settings for the Firefox application.
