While making some minor name changes, etc. in bookmarks, I suddenly have double entries for all; can it be undone?
Recent install of Ver. 5; was able to import bookmarks from AOL; and was changing names, deleting unused ones, etc. When I sorted by name, all were doubled. Or did I err with a double import? Either way - any easy fix?

Kind of hard to tell what to do now. This is what should have been done immediately:
Restore from your bookmarks backup that you had before you had the problem. It was a week ago, so that's back a bit, Firefox now retains 10 or 11 backups by default in Version 4& 5, but you might still be on the default of 5 from an earlier version.
Bookmarks > Show ALL Bookmarks Ctrl+Shift+B > Import & backup > Restore check out the dates and sizes.
You might take your own backup first and store offline in case you decide that what you have now is better than a week or two old (why do we see stupid things like 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 1 month for when things were posted, it is neither precise nor accurate for computer records)
