I am on a limited allowance with my satellite connection. I need to know if I can schedule downloads to take place in my free period between 2 & 5am. I have Firefox 4 on my laptop and would like to update to 5 but have no idea of the size of the file which makes a huge difference to me.

IIRC, the size of the Firefox 4 to 5 update was around 4.5 MB, when it updated for me 2 1/2 weeks ago.

While the size of the Firefox 5.0 installer package may be around 13MB, but if there is a problem during the update procedure or the server is heavily loaded where the full un-compressed package needs to be downloaded, you better figure on it being slightly in excess of 18MB.

Thank you for the information on the size of the file. You did not say whether I can schedule downloads or not. It would certainly be advantageous for me to schedule updates in my free period from 2am to 5am
