My Firefox Icon button on the top of my screen disappeared, and the toolbars keep disappearing when I'm on a website and I have to go to the top and click a couple of times for it to come back on. My bottom toolbar is competely gone. Help!

I can find nothing for the help I need with my Firefox Icon Button and its mysterious disappearance. Everything I ready about missing bars or icons says to go to the Firefox Button. With it gone, I can't add or change tool bars, etc. My bottom tool bar seems to be covered when a web page is open - it is there when I close or reduce a page. How can I get my Firefox button back? Please help - I have wasted so much time trying to figure this out!

Just in case you are in Full Screen mode, press F11, which switches between normal and Full Screen mode. Does that do anything helpful?

To call up the classic menu bar, you can tap the Alt key or press F10. Then you can use View > Toolbars to restore your choice of toolbars. Does that work?

Thank you so much - I should have asked sooner rather than spending so much time being frustrated and so much time wasted!

I tried hitting f11 and f10, but that didn't work. I have a Mac, so maybe that's why. So I'm still not able to see my toolbar or dock when I'm on a website....any other suggestions?

When you hover your mouse at the top of the screen, if you are in Full Screen mode, some bars will slide down, e.g., the navigation toolbar and tab bar. If you right-click in a blank area (a blank area you can't type in), then you should have a small menu with Exit Full Screen Mode.

If that doesn't seem applicable, then you might not be in full screen mode. Try this page to resize the window:

After switching to FF5, I got the same problem as the originator and I'm not in full screen mode (Tried F11 and resizing). However rather than it disappearing, I get a smaller icon than usual and clicking on it only provides options for maximize, minimize, restore, move and close. Immediately to the right of the small icon are the first words of the page going on until space runs out

@Steve_Clairman, if you are looking for the orange Firefox button (abbreviated menus), it will appear if you turn off the classic menu bar:

View menu > Toolbars > uncheck Menu Bar
