Firefox won't display certain things. For example, the box around this text, the options above (bold, italic, inset a link - I can see what they are only by moving the mouse pointer in the approximate area and reading the little text that comes up). Other things it won't display - the word 'Google' when I open the search engine page, icons in eBay. On eBay, when I sign in, the words 'sign in' appear as 2 different fonts superimposed on one another, both in black. In IE, it appears as white text on a blue background, and is quite readable. Now that this description has reached the length where the scroll box is needed, the scroll box has appeared, but there is still no box around the text. Below, there is a box where a drop-down menu is required ("This Happened") but not for "This Started When" or "Troubleshooting Information". I know where to put the cursor to find these areas because it turns to an I bar when I'm in the right area. The really funny thing is: It only behaves this way on my logon - my wife's works fine! (Work that one out!) It started this when I was running version 3.8.5 (I think it was). I downloaded version 4 hoping it would fix the problem, but it didn't. I have uninstalled & reinstalled it, but the problem is still there. I've had it for several months now (I think - at least 2 months) so the computer has been off and restarted many times, with no effect.

Thanks, handsomeorlandoman. You are not only handsome, but knowlegeable, too. It has taken me a while to do it because my wife has not been well (wound up in hospital), but I've finally done it and it worked a treat!

So, thank you again, from the other side of the world (Western Australia!) Have a good day!
