Firefox opened to a list of plugins that needed updating, so I clicked on the first one and it went to a page to download, I clicked that and it said it was downloading and then said complete , but on the list it didn't show it was updated, then I clicked on another one that said update and it went thru the download and then said completed, and gave me questions that I didn't know what I was suppose to do. Then I clicked on the quick time update and it downloaded and then I got a popup that said quicktime installer.exe and it said clear list. I didn't know if I was suppose to click on clear list or not so I didn't do anything, Please help!

You should have used Firefox to post here, instead of using IE 8, that way we would have gotten a listing of your installed plugins along with the version number.

Open up Help > Troubleshooting Information, then hit the Copy all to clipboard button. Then paste that listing into the Reply box here.

When it comes to updating Flash and Java, IMO you are better off downloading the new version of those programs than "updating" them thru an update button. Once they are downloaded, uninstall the older version and install the new version.
