I have an Apple Macbook Pro. Last friday I switched my computer on and all my (hundred or so) bookmarks had dissapeared. I can not find them or retrieve them from back up, the message 'not able to process back up' appears. I also can't go back, forward or save any new bookmarks.

Please can someone help. I really depend on my bookmarks.

Hi, Thanks for this. I'm still stuck. I can't find places.sqlite file or the profile folder. I don't know if this is because I use a Mac? I am really struggling to understand the instructions.

You can use: Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory > Open Containing folder
