Hi, I just got a new laptop and downloaded thunderbird. On the new computer, Thunderbird is slow to the point where I cannot use it. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, played with settings, and nothing seems to do the trick. I use a screen reader (JAWS) because I am blind but I've never had any issues with it before. It will work fine for a few minutes and then the slowness will begin. Any ideas how to resolve this?

I normally suggest starting with https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Testing:Memory_Usage_Problems however JAWS complicates the investigation somewhat. You might try asking at https://groups.io/g/thunderbird/ which specializes in accessibility.
