Every time I opent Thunderbid I must scroll down to see the newest messages at the bottom. It is very annoying. Also it happens when I change the folders. How to fix it?

This may help: - click settings>general - scroll down to bottom to see config editor - change these values: 

 mailnews.default_sort_type     set to 18 to sort by date 
 mailnews.default_sort_order    set to 2 to sort descending
