Is it possible to customize mouse middle click (scroll click) so when I middle-click on a tab it will duplicate it?

I don't know how, but it seemed intuitive to me. I was shocked it closed a tab. So I wondered, if this action closes a tab it, why shouldn't it be possible to modify the action so it duplicates a tab?

Thanks in advance.

Note that you can easily reopen such an accidentally closed tab via "Ctrl+Shift+T" or via "History -> Recently Closed Tabs". I'm not aware of a way to reprogram the mouse middle-click to duplicate a tab. There are various ways to duplicate a tab like via the right-click context menu of the tab or by holding the Ctrl key and drag the tab or by middle-clicking the combined Reload/Stop button on the Navigation Toolbar.
