Incoming email's are put in trash folder instead of inbox?

more options

I checked filters deleted all of then for every account. Checked my email provider not that. I have extensive computer experience as I went to college for computer science, was a network admin and a programmer as well as a web designer/coder so it is not an issue of ignorance. It happens intermitantly. Doesn't seem to follow a pattern in respect to who the emails are from.

Hello there allengarner. We have read your message. We try to help you.

your email is not arriving in your inbox. This is because the mail server now sends it directly to the trash can.

you could try to check all message filters and find out what is causing it. The same goes for the junk settings in your program.

In the first way I should say. try clearing the message filters at once. Then the problem would no longer occur.

let me try to look it up inside thunderbird right now

Hello there again . Allengarner.

If you use Imap on your computer(s).

Allow instant server notifications when new messages arrive: (IMAP accounts only) With this setting, Thunderbird uses the IMAP IDLE command, allowing you to receive new messages as they appear on the server without having to check the server for new messages. When I delete a message: (IMAP accounts only) When you delete a message, Thunderbird moves it to the Trash folder for that account by default. Here you can change that behavior. Move it to this folder: Instead of having the message moved to the Trash folder, use this menu to select another folder to move messages to.

use this menu to select a different folder to which messages will be moved.

"instant server notifications" is already turned on and the folder setting for deleted emails is only for where emails go when deleted and should not effect if/when emails are deleted or being received. I have checked junk mail settings and there is nothing that should cause emails to be deleted. Especially when each email is from a different person so there is no pattern for email source to the action so it could not be a filter. So it must be a bug not a setting as it only happens intermittently.

Also all my junk mail settings send emails to the spam folder and not to the trash folder.

I also removed the program and settings then reinstalled and it happened again even though I changed no settings and all settings were default settings.

Hello there again

When thunderbird is closed. Open the directory that is on your computer. Select the account in which you want to delete your msf.files. For Imap accounts : Imap mail. For pop mail : mail local folders. Select the necessary msf.files you want to delete or choose delete them all. Delete the msf.files or drag them to the trash.

Now try to restart the software
