Hello, and thanks so much for your help!

I am new to the forum, but donate to Thunderbird, as I have been using it for probably 15 years and love it!

I cannot make Thunderbird work on my Mac Powerbook. I am located in Austria and my email provider is Estugo. They give really clear instructions on how to install Thunderbird, and it works on my Mac desktop, and I am also able to login from my laptop using Roundcube, so the problem doesn't seem to be the email provider.

I have double, triple and quadruple checked that the settings I am putting on my laptop are correct, including the password.

When I try to download messages, it connects to the server, but nothing happens - no messages download, no error message, nothing :(

Could there be some setting on my laptop itself that is the problem?

Again, thanks so much for your help!

Best,

Kathryn in Vienna
