Hi,

I have set the task bar badge to display the number of unread emails. Unfortunately, this only works for emails in the inbox. Emails in other folders are collectively ignored.

Doing some research it seems that this has been an issue since this feature was introduced. Would be great to have it addressed. :) Or is there any other way to solve this?

For anyone interested, I found a workaround (for now) for this issue:

Using the add-on Folder Flags you can flag any folder into different categories. Just flag any folder that you want to include in the unread count as "inbox" and it will work. They won't actually be an inbox of course but be treated as such. It works for now (v91), with wrong counts here and there which usually resolve by restarting Thunderbird.

Not ideal but a decent workaround. I hope the Thunderbird devs can polish this feature in the near future.
