When I open my email then to Bulk Mail folder I get a message "Server IMAP.mail Yahoo Mail .com has disconnected. Server may have gone down, or maybe a network problem"
When I open my email, then go to my Bulk Mail folder sometimes I get a message "Server IMAP.mail Yahoo Mail.com has disconnected. Server may have gone down, or maybe a network problem. I mentioned this to a Rogers tech and he said it is not their problem - probably a software/programme problem. Any ideas?

You can try to reduce the "Maximum number of connections to cache" for the affected Yahoo account. The option is in Account Settings - Server Settings - Advanced. Mine is set to a value of 3, which works for Yahoo.

My immediate reaction is do you have mail scanning or encrypted traffic scanning enabled in some anti virus product. They have been known to cause issues when they nod off to sleep half way through stuff.
I've been having this problem for over a year. But it was only happening once in a while. The past two weeks I'm disconnected after I change 2 or three folders. Not just the "Bulk Mail" folder. I have to reboot to continue. I have no anti virus software running.
Thanks for any help, Roger

Just adjusted the setting. Seems fine so far. Thank You C.
