I have entered new contacts into TB 91 Cardbook, they will not upload to google contacts. I have tried creating a new address book in Cardbook only to receive a cannot validate error message. Then I receive continous dialog box to allow access to google account. I have checked Allow button sends me into continous loop of asking again. I have checked the Deny button only to stop the dialog box for a few minutes. I have tried closing the dialog box only to ask again in a few minutes.

Please Help....

This looks like a case of an OAuth2 authentication process in an endless loop because cookies aren't accepted in TB Preferences.

If you're using CardBook only to sync Google Contacts, note that this is possible without an add-on by opening Address Book, File/New/CardDAV Address Book... enter the gmail address...Contacts are autodetected...enter the account password in the OAuth window to allow access (which will work if cookies are accepted).

Sfhowes, This is a 2 edge sword. My contacts sync from thunderbird to Google contacts, which is great. The downside is I lose my labels which I use quite often to separate the clubs that I am in. Are there other possiblities?

I had Google Contacts added to CardBook some time ago, but I just opened it and found it could not be synced. So, I deleted the address book and added it again, and now it's working properly, and appears to sync labels. Label, i.e. mailing list, syncing is not available with the built-in CardDAV option, but it seems to work with the latest version of CB.
