Hi-Thanks for your reply - 

I could not identify anything called Y2mate from program removal - nothing had that name and I did not know the symbol connected to it - but then I checked the extensions- and then manage extensions -where it identified which extension had a connection to Y2mate - and removed it from there. Hope it is permanent and has left no other files.
