Recently, separate Firefox browser windows open automatically while I am using Firefox. The windows are always advertisements. This is the URL for the most recent pop-up browser window: https://yourrealupdates.com/braingav/sharkbrain.html?cep=K7bbk4RsABzkShauNVpcmPf86do11n9lI0EHcuSn7vwd-UwAvQWNGt0ICmwybCrVpypwsU_P8Hye0Kdds3DAjtLEs7LGHq57B4Mn3ALLimiua0EWIU7hsU-nP4mURMGbAxW_gLzSPG6-3liLWxCyI4DlhBu0pYH2L51CnbR4VxTnIT0iGrlUcR7bwxiGvc-TxXaAjoJAfHs12ZgLYJTLhIsQ8l96QG7f4XARM2yScq3NRUeroJOHEDLwW-A6YP7j2vU0Syt9hrLEDE_wU5W6ux-hH50izav0ocyUUZMErsosKaLLk_msOGDEIQtZ1MkO0Jt4yrGZgLFreSB2tRbk7SRwXx3Zc4-3ygopircT9W75bv3ZSUlikWi9kWsepycf2ixfSIN10DbLYLebSioGBlUoSx2iwchF1PGk9Q9PP4WZTrxskTmjSESId_JxV4h_zM4AyjSnlp-Ii8MRZ7-YBXnIxDf9pSZqh-v5EcIMiziEUwjN-a3lYZLcHm7Unj7yH4GulUNh0ts-1U7D2b-uHBWuf1BwUzSQ0K1XWLfJUdq3wogbkSK6VRr1DpjkBDImwOm7JTlByLyELM3rtqyWsNkjZCvXiWbkGe-cdrmxGGXq4ha4F3RGFSbOMOMA6Y8G&lptoken=16e923f55933689a6386&operatingsystem=Windows&placementID=89497&siteID=5464&domainid=8287&channel=News&subchannel=Conservative+News&mediaID=111576&keywords=&city=Bloomsburg&browser=Firefox&cpv=0.010924861&s2sParam=a70c595a-e491-4fc6-a964-5fdd2cb5821b I am attaching a screenshot of the suspect browser webpage.

You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no

Run most or all of the listed free to use malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good ad blocker.

Hi sspur12, is the popup blocker enabled for that news site which gives you the popups? More info on this feature here: Pop-up blocker settings, exceptions and troubleshooting.

If the pop-up blocker is generally enabled, then any exception would show toward the left end of the address bar on the site -- there will be a new icon next to the lock. I don't know how to describe this icon, so here's a screenshot of it:

Click that button to review/revoke any special permissions.

The only exception to popups is an exception that I had previously allowed. I ran an older version of AdwCleaner that I had previously downloaded which found and quarantined a few PUPs. I then downloaded the newest version of AdwCleaner and am running that now. I am attaching a screenshot of the AdwCleaner earlier scan results. I ran Microsoft Safety Scanner (quick scan) with negative results. I ran Malwarebytes AntiMalware Free with negative results. Still working on your recommendations. I greatly appreciate your assisting me with this issue.

I ran TDSSKiller with negative results. The PUPs removed by AdwCleaner may have solved the problem. I will continue to explore the recommendations that you supplied. If I have the same problem in the future, I will contact you if that is allowable. Thanks again.
