hello slloydleduc,

I dont have/use a mac. But in windows it is possible to restore lost files by restoring the operating system to a prior date.

So there is a likely hood that if you can restore your mac before all of your headaches, you may be able to again ascertain functionality of your former FF and access to your book marks.

Below are the instructions from Google. However, before pressing the final button to execute a Mac system restore, double check to see which dates are available for restoring. My suggestion is to pick the youngest/most recent back up that took place before these headaches with the new FF:

Lastly, if you are successful and happy again, lets back up your bookmarks to a file.

Restore Mac to older time: Press both the "Command" key and the letter "R" at the same time to enter OS X Recovery. Hold these buttons down until you see the Apple logo. A recovery menu will display that includes the option to restore your computer from a Time Machine backup.
