Since updating my iMac, I cannot pull in anymore email. It won't accept my password and I get the dreaded spinning beach ball.

I cannot access my email. I log on, it asks for master password. I give it and then the next prompt asks for my password to my email account on the pop server. I provide it and the spinning beach ball shows up. I try a few other passwords to make sure I am using the most current and same result. Any assistance is appreciated. Norm
