In the latest build (78.4.0), how may we see the attachments (sent to us) as an attachment and not at the bottom of the email text (much like GMAIL)?

Depends upon the format of the attachment. Simple Text and images can be seen by setting: Menu app icon > view > select 'display attachments inline'

But if you get eg: MSWord attachments then they can only be opened using the appropriate software.

Thanx. It is not a question of apps to open attachments. It is more a question of having the option of clicking the attachment if it appears as an attachment in the title rather than having to scroll down to the bottom of the email thread to see and click on it.

Thanx

There was a complex way of moving the attachment pane to the top, that worked in TB 52:

but I doubt it works in current versions of TB without some modifications.

Thanx, but doesn't work. Ironically, in the previous version of TB, the attachment line was at the top of the message by default. I don't know why Mozilla would have moved it down the message thread..it is so time-consuming to a point that I am considering removing the program and waiting in a few months to see if this issue has been resolved/reconfigured by Mozilla. Thanks
