What happens when you tap on you emails to open in them in Firefox for Android?

When I tap on the email I wish to open, at first the faint outline of an envelope appears in the space reserved for the email message and after a second it goes blank. Headers and footers are still visible but no message appears.

Are these emails with images or just plain text?

Neither emails with attachments or emails without attachments will download

Are the emails themselves made up of text, or do they have images instead?

I cannot down load all text emails, ones with photographs incorporated or ones with attachments.

Do you have any add-ons installed in Firefox for Android?

I only installed Firefox on my mobile phone a few days ago and I have not knowingly added anything to it. I have looked at the app information for Firefox and no add ons are mentioned.

I am not sure what a dedicated email app is. I can download BT Mail on my android phone using FireFox which may be what you mean. I can see the emails but cannot open them. I can access my contacts and write an email but I cannot send it.

Do you have the Gmail app on your device?

Yes I do have the GMail App on my phone which is a Moto G5.

Can you set up your email to be viewed through that app?

As you suggested I was able to access and open my BT Mail through GMail. Thank you
