They have to unblock every page which is dumb if the did that on the main via the shield. Most do not know what to do in the first place Is this with Win 7 as I have Win10 so no issue and I use Trend. Is Avast causing this my content writer had to unblock each link and page. Please advise this is not good for a business

Thanks so much, Natalie

URL for your website?

You can check in the Web Console what content this is about and if it is important content like JS files or CSS files then you can consider to host these files on another server in case they are currently hosted on server that are on the blocklist that Firefox uses.

Its not the files I have been with this server company for years. This just started for my content writer

Sites are www.starzpsychics.com and www.mysticlivingtoday.com but I believe its only Starz

Both these sites are huge and we both know it costs money and is a huge job to move sites like this

Thanks so much :)

I don't think there's any reason for the whole site to be blocked. I just see the attached "Tracking Content" blocked in a private window, at least on the home pages. Are there other sections that are completely blocked?

Ask your content writer to test without Avast to see whether that is the issue. The relevant component is the Web Shield, and it could be disabled temporarily or I think it's possible to make an exception for Firefox.

Thanks

What she had to do is unblock each page and link that she viewed. She said she did that but it still insisted she do every single page from that shield next to the lock

Could it be Win7

You could ask for screenshots to see which program takes responsibility for the block, if any.

Its Firefox .............there is no program. She goes to Firefox then types in my url and thats what happens

Thanks so much :)

But see whether you can find out exactly what was blocked. Probably something different from what appears in my screenshots.

One more thing I should add...........Chrome does not do this when she goes to my site.........strange huh?

I use both browsers and no issue for me did Win7 change somehow? Remember I have Win10

You are the best thanks for continuing to solve this

The Web Console should give more detail about what is blocked.

This is usually collected under one blocked line that mentions something like URLs are blocked. If she needs to check the shield each time then maybe best is to disable Tracking Protection for this website.

Update from me I am having to have my clients use Chrome and this does not make me happy. If its not one thing or another so makes me wonder what did Firefox do with their updates? You made it safer but what about the rest of us that have issues with their chats.............it goes fine then stops. For mine we use a database and the chat type goes for a bit then moves to the upper screen but now it does not do that it just stops and.......... not all the time We use javascript

I have 45 people who work for me and clients to troubleshoot not fun

I donate to Firefox and I really think my issues should be addressed. All of you are so great in trying to help but I know your hands are tied at times

I will continue to support Firefox and I love all of you

Hi Natalie, as far as I can tell, all the free parts of the site work normally in Firefox 73 with no need to unblock anything. I cannot test paid sections such as chat.

If you or your developer haven't already, could you open a support ticket with MyLiveChat to see whether they aware of any general compatibility issue with Firefox:

MyLiveChat does not have to do with the paid chats. What happens is you purchase minutes then you choose an advisor click on their name and enter their chatroom :) The same chat rooms are the same for over 8 years.

Thanks for replying so quick

Love, Natalie

PS My content writer has issued in that she has to allow audio and media for every single page using Firefox

Okay, perhaps a different provider is used for paid chats. I have the same suggestion for that provider.

The same chat rooms are the same for over 8 years.

I'm sure the provider updates the script frequently as browsers evolve.

Hmm, I thought an exception for auto-play would be for the entire site, not for a single page. She may have to completely turn off the no-autoplay feature.

See: Allow or block media autoplay in Firefox
