Unidentified Profile
Hello,
I was recently trying to create a new profile when I saw that there was an extra one there besides the default one. This was the name:
Profile: default-1559102909176
I didn't make this. I was wondering if anyone has came across this, or if I was potentially hacked and someone was spying on me. Thanks for the help.

Hi lucicastelli, it is a weird profile name, but very possibly innocent.
If you ever used the Refresh feature (sometimes called a tune-up), what Firefox will do is move your old profile to the desktop inside an Old Firefox Data folder, and create a new profile. The new profile name is based on the old one with a timestamp added. So my interpretation of this --
Profile: default-1559102909176
-- is that the Refresh feature ran in a profile named default on May 29, 2019 at 4:08:29.176 AM (GMT time), or May 28, 2019 9:08:29.176 PM in Pacific time (my time). I used this converter to turn that timestamp into a date: https://www.epochconverter.com/
So I don't think this profile name is evidence of any hacking or spying if that sounds like something that happened while you were using Firefox.

Note that you get a profile name with two timestamps if you refresh a profile that already has a timestamp.

Note that you can easily use the Web Console or Browser Console to convert such a timestamp to a date.

I am now running on Firefox version 71.0 (64-bit). Last automatically updated Dec 4th 2019. It was installed as version 69.0.2 on 4th October 2019, (before that date I was having problems with my old version and had to re-install it). Apart from subsequently having 5 update failures on October 11th before a succesful instal, I have had no further update issues. My Current default Profile "z4xvp4b4.default-1571746680144", takes up 30.9 MB of my C drive capacity. It is also the only Profile listed on the troubleshooting Information details. - last modified on 29/12/2019
I also have an Old Profile "t4dey4ih.default", that is as far as I know NOT USED by my only working version (on this computer) of Firefox. It takes up a further 29.6 MB of my C drive capacity. - last modified on 28/12/2019. This profile does not show on my Modifications to the Old Profile only affected one file:- "places.sqlite" 1,184 KB - 28/12/2019 This Old profile has the Older version of OpenH264 Video Codec, as confirmed by the latest report on my CCleaner analysis.(V 1.7.1 & 1.8.1.1). CCleaner reports also indicate the following duplicated(?) Extensions:- Firefox Screenshots V 33.0.0 & 39.0.0 Form Autofill V 1.0 & 1.0 Web Compat V 2.0 & 6.4.0 Web Compat Reporter V 1.0.0 & 1.1.0
As I do not wish to use up unnecessary memory resources, I would appreciate your advice as to whether I should delete the OLD Profile, and if so how best to do it.
The 1571746680144 profile got created October 22, 2019 due to using the refresh feature in Firefox.
The four extensions you listed are Firefox features and are installed in the Firefox program folder. If you have multiple (recent and older) versions of these extensions then that would suggest that you have more than one Firefox version installed, possibly 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

- (32-bit Firefox) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
Note that Firefox uses two locations for the Firefox profile folder.
Location used for the main profile that keeps your personal data (Root Directory on about:profiles).
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
Location used for the disk cache and other temporary files (Local Directory on about:profiles).
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
Your excellent response duly pointed me in the right direction, and having deleted the errant profile folder, the CCleaner analysis confirms that the duplicated extensions have now been successfully cleared. Many thanks.
