Firefox - IOS conflict in sync

I previously had problems with Sync - both with my iPhone and with identifying which device to sync to.Using sync blew up my iPhone and I was told by the Apple store that there was a conflict with Firefox Sync and IOS and that the only solution was to not use IOS.

I also have multiple computers and the out of date bookmarks from my secondary computer repeatedly wiped out the current bookmarks on my primary computer. I got frustrated with being afraid of even opening FF because it would mess up my settings . There was no way to say yes or no to sync, or to identify what not to sync, or which device was the "lead" device.

Have any of these issues been addressed?
