Is the find bar the only place that gives this issue?

Did you try a different theme in Firefox via the customize page and probably in Windows to see if that has effect?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Seems my Walnut theme was the culprit. What I don't understand is why it suddenly became an issue,as I haven't added extensions for a long time. Thanks for your suggestions!
