Hi,

I tried to use the same profile folder between Linux and Windows installation but I've seen some strange behaviour, e.g. Thunderbird on Linux won't save any password, Gmail didn't sync and Windows installation keeps asking me to install Lightning addon.

Since I use IMAP protocol for mail, I don't think it's mandatory to sync the mailboxes between the two OS (please correct me if I got this wrong). But it would be very handy if I can just sync the local mail archive between Linux and Windows.

I won't say that the issues are system-related since the ntfs partition is correctly mounted in read/write mode.

Thanks in advance and best regards!
